We’re working hard to make sure that when Brexit happens, your service will not be interrupted and you won’t need to do anything for your service to continue.

There are two particular issues we have considered: data transfers and licence passporting.

Data Transfers – UK to the EU

According to the Irish Data Protection Commissioner, the UK Government expects personal data to flow freely from the UK to the EU as normal, even in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

Data Transfers – EU to the UK

We have agreed to binding corporate rules about transferring data from Ireland to our affiliates in the UK.

Licence Passporting

We already have permission from the UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, to continue to passport our Irish licence into the UK after 28 March 2019. This means we will continue to support UK merchants even in a no-deal Brexit scenario.

We will continue to monitor this situation and if any changes are needed, we will let you know.
